How can I be assured of salvation - What does it mean to be saved?
There are two words for salvation in the Greek language.
One of them is Sozo and the other is Soteria.
“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy…” (Psalm 103:2-4)
“But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5 ESV)
Sozo means saved, healed, and delivered. This implies that when you make Jesus Lord, your soul is saved, your body is healed and your life is delivered from destruction.
Soteria gets its root word from Greek mythology. It signifies the fourfold salvation package.
It implies that you are saved from the penalty of sin, power, presence, and the pleasure of sin. It means to be rescued from sin,
The Bible's use of Soteria indicates its etymology from Greek mythology, as the word is used to mean "fourfold salvation: saved from the penalty, power, presence and most importantly the pleasure of sin."
How can I be assured of salvation – Believe: Believing is the first step of salvation
To receive salvation, you must believe and have faith in God and His word. Believe that Jesus died on the cross as the sin offering and was resurrected back to life. That in His resurrection He lives seated at the right hand of God. From that position, He makes intercession for you on the earth.

Understand the love that He has for you. He sent His son to die for you on the cross. He resurrected Him by the Spirit of the Lord.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
In dying on the cross, the son of God, Jesus, paid the price and the penalty of sin. This gives you the freedom to come into God’s presence to receive grace and help in the time of need.
Jeremiah 29:11
How can I be assured of salvation – Speak: Give voice to your salvation
Salvation must be declared. When you believe in Jesus, you must declare His Lordship.
After declaring His Lordship, you begin speaking the scriptures to establish your new life in Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17-19
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ not counting people’s sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
You need to daily affirm that you are a new creature in Christ. As you daily declare these scriptures, you are growing stronger in your faith and your life. Begin speaking these scriptures daily, if you have not been affirming the newness of life in Christ.
